Chris Mitchell, Chairman of Norfolk and Norwich Families’ House launched the charity’s ‘Make a Difference for the Future’ appeal to an audience of local businesses and charitable trust’s at Families’ House on Tuesday, July 19.

Mr Mitchell said: "Over the last 10 years, Families’ House has steadily developed its vital work supporting vulnerable children and their families. This has been thanks to one off Government grants and generous support from local businesses, charitable trusts and many individuals clubs and societies. It costs over £300,000 to run our charity. If we are to retain and develop our excellent staff, as well as continue to meet the growing demand for our family support and supervised contact services, we need regular sustainable Government funding and of course continued help from the local community."

Families’ House also has plans to expand its Ber Street headquarters. The charity needs to raise £75,000 to provide an additional supervised contact suite and improve reception facilities and access for disabled visitors.
