JobsFamilies’ House was set up in 1994. We are a successful and expanding Registered Charity having received The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in June 2007 and The Guardian Charity of the Year award in 2004. Our Vision is to improve the quality of life of vulnerable children and their families in Norfolk and Norwich by meeting their specific needs. Our main activities are a volunteer befriending service and parent support groups, and a Supervised Contact Service for parents and children who are separated from each other.
We currently have the following vacancies: Social Work Practitioner (Full or Part time considered)Full Time Salary: £24,402-£30,546 (depending on qualifications and experience) Families’ House is rightly proud of its track record in truly creative approaches in its work with families. This post is fundamental to upholding the quality of supervised contact in the private law setting, and involves working for children of parents who have separated or divorced in conflictual circumstances. We are looking for a qualified and experienced child and family social worker with the skills to handle some of the complex referrals we receive via CAFCASS, as well as assist in the development of the extension of this service. Experience of providing services to children and collaborative inter-agency working are essential.
Family Support Worker (Full or part time considered)Full Time Salary: £19,286 (depending on qualifications and experience) We have an exciting opportunity for a Family Support Worker to support our Social Work Practitioner, in facilitating Supervised Contact, and our Family Support Service Co-ordinator in running our Family Support Services. These services include a One-to-One Support Service, a Volunteer Befriending Service, Parent Support Groups and School Holiday activities. Closing date for applications: Monday 24th August 2009.
